Richard Olivier of Mythodrama, always very popular with delegates at the conference, explored the topic of leadership through Shakespeare's Macbeth. Rather than focus on Macbeth himself he examined the role of Prince Malcolm as the model of true, ethical leadership - a strong theme in this years conference! He talked of the 'gift of energy' that comes our way as leaders, given by others we work with because we are in focus as the leader. His message was around how we 'route' this energy to define us as ethical leaders.
The National College for School Leadership (NCSL) helps make a positive difference to children’s lives through the development of world-class leaders. NCSL's remit now includes leaders of schools, children's centres and children's services.
